The Transportation Planner is responsible for planning, optimizing, and coordinating transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and optimize transportation routes and delivery schedules
Analyze shipment volumes, transit times, and carrier capacity
Coordinate with carriers, dispatch, and warehouse teams
Monitor transportation performance and service levels
Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and delays
Maintain accurate planning data and reports
Support continuous improvement initiatives in transportation operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
2–4 years of transportation planning or logistics experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with TMS and route planning tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
