Job Title: HVAC Mechanical Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and oversee heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will ensure systems meet energy efficiency, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and size HVAC systems, ductwork, and equipment layouts using AutoCAD/Revit.

• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and energy modeling.

• Select HVAC components and prepare detailed design specifications.

• Coordinate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers on project designs.

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.

• Review submittals, drawings, and ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.

• Conduct site inspections and support troubleshooting and performance testing.

• Prepare cost estimates, reports, and technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 3–7 years of HVAC design or project experience (commercial or residential).

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Trace 700).

• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and Florida Building Codes.

• EIT or PE license preferred (or ability to obtain).

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
