As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, optimize data flows, and support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.**Key Responsibilities:**- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data sources.- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability.- Implement and manage cloud-based data solutions, primarily on AWS.- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.- Document data processes, workflows, and best practices.**Required Skills & Qualifications:**- 0–10 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.- Basic experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).**Preferred Qualifications:**- Experience with additional big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka) is a plus.- Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms.- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.**Work Arrangement:** Hybrid – Candidates should be able to commute to our New York, NY office as required.**Leoforce is an equal opportunity employer.
