Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations for pharmaceutical products. This role ensures uninterrupted availability of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining compliance with cGMP, GDP, FDA, and regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in inventory control, procurement, logistics, forecasting, and vendor management to support business growth and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Forecasting
Develop demand forecasts and production planning schedules.
Align supply plans with sales, production, and regulatory requirements.
Manage new product launches and product life-cycle planning.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Source and qualify raw material, API, and packaging vendors.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
Maintain optimal inventory levels of RM, PM, WIP, and finished goods.
Implement FIFO/FEFO systems and expiry management.
Control slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Logistics & Distribution
Oversee domestic and international logistics and cold-chain distribution.
Ensure compliance with GDP and regulatory shipping requirements.
Manage third-party logistics (3PL) partners and freight vendors.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to FDA, cGMP, GDP, ICH, and internal SOP requirements.
Support audits, inspections, and documentation reviews.
Cost & Performance Optimization
Reduce logistics and procurement costs.
Track KPIs such as OTIF, fill rate, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and mentor supply chain and warehouse teams.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (QA, Production, QC, Finance, Sales).
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
5–10 years of pharmaceutical supply chain/logistics experience.
Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP and regulatory documentation.
Technical Skills:
ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement systems.
Vendor qualification and audit processes.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions

May require coordination with international suppliers and distributors.
