Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a very busy patient service center. The role will involve performing phlebotomy procedures for pediatric through geriatric patients, processing specimens, order entry, packing and shipping, and conducting drug screens.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and performing 30–40 blood draws per day.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Perform 30–40 blood draws daily.
• 
  
• Perform phlebotomy on pediatric through geriatric patients.
• 
  
• Perform drug screens.
• 
  
• Complete order entry accurately.
• 
  
• Process and prepare specimens for testing.
• 
  
• Pack and ship specimens according to established procedures.
• 
  
• Follow proper patient identification and specimen handling procedures.
• 
  
• Work effectively as part of a team in a very busy environment.
• 
  
• Maintain a high level of accuracy while working under time constraints.
• 
  
• Stand and work on your feet for approximately 7.5 hours per shift.

Requirements

• 
  
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 
  
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 
  
• Strong hands-on phlebotomy experience.
• 
  
• Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patients.
• 
  
• Ability to perform 30–40 draws per day.
• 
  
• Basic computer skills.
• 
  
• Ability to perform drug screens.
• 
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• 
  
• Ability to work the designated schedule, including rotating Saturdays.
• 
  
• Ability to work effectively in a very busy team environment.
• 
  

Education & Certification

• 
  
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 
  
• Required Experience: 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 
  
• Certifications: None required.
• 
  

Work Environment

• 
  
• Very busy patient service center.
• 
  
• Approximately 70–120 patients per day.
• 
  
• Team-based environment.
• 
  
• Approximately 7.5 hours of standing per shift.
• 
  
• Training will be provided for approximately 1–2 weeks.
•
