Perform routine cleanings and polishing; Remove calculus, stains, and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from the teeth
Apply preventive materials such as fluorides and sealants to the teeth
Teach patients how to practice good oral hygiene such as proper brushing and flossing techniques; Counsel patients regarding good nutrition and its impact on oral health
