Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools and a passion for building scalable, high-performance data solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize big data pipelines that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust big data solutions using Hadoop and related technologies.

- Implement and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows.

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production Hadoop environments.

- Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience working with Hadoop and its ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, HBase, Spark, Kafka).

- Strong programming skills in Java, SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting.

- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and big data performance tuning.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.

- Prior experience in the Information Technology, Financial Services, or Healthcare industries.
