Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, logs, and alerts for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis on systems, networks, and applications.
- Maintain and update security tools, such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices.
- Document incidents, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Experience with SIEM tools, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and authentication protocols.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards like ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, or GDPR.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Incident response, threat hunting, or digital forensics experience.
- Familiarity with penetration testing or vulnerability scanning tools.
