**Position Overview:**

We are looking to hire an experienced Construction Accountant to join our company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts of various construction projects by creating detailed budgets, overseeing supplier contracts, evaluating production costs, and verifying invoice statements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed, cost-effective budgets for projects.

- Perform accounting duties throughout the project lifecycle, including preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders.

- Analyze all transactions and incorporate unforeseen costs into the budget.

- Maintain comprehensive records of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.

- Prepare cost analyses by interpreting project financial data and information.

- Report financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.

- Research market trends and project construction-related price fluctuations.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

- Stay current with both the construction and accounting industries.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Certification in construction accounting is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private or public accounting.

- Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures.

- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.

- Working knowledge of the construction industry.

- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
