Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Programming Director to manage program planning and distribution across all of our distribution platforms. In this role, you will ensure that shows, programs, advertising, and digital content are appropriately scheduled and checked for quality and appropriateness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create content and program schedules for media distribution platforms.
  • Review and monitor the production of content to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Assign tasks and roles to team members, ensuring effective delegation and collaboration.
  • Maintain and update calendars, ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Manage and coordinate activities between advertising, production, planning, and editing teams.
  • Identify key opportunities to increase content impact and business growth.
  • Research and analyze viewership data and market trends to inform programming decisions.
  • Drive improvements in revenue and brand awareness through effective programming and distribution strategies.
  • Present regular reports to management on programming and distribution activities.
  • Engage with clients, producers, creators, and advertisers to discuss media programming needs and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film production, business, marketing, or sales.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a station manager, newscast director, production director, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of technical, legal, and operational aspects of media programming.
  • Knowledge of production methods, distribution channels, and various entertainment mediums.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Confident in delegating tasks and working collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Creative, tactical, and results-driven mindset.
