Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, water systems, and commercial/residential developments.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Oversee project construction, ensuring adherence to design, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other engineering software for design and analysis.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with project management and budgeting.
- Familiarity with local Houston regulations and permitting processes.
- Additional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or Six Sigma are a plus.
