Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our IT team in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting our organization’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and enforce network security protocols and best practices.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and network resources.
  • Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and backups.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business operations and resolve technical issues.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency and security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and network security.
  • Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and network monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
