Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our IT team in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting our organization’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and enforce network security protocols and best practices.
- Manage user access, permissions, and network resources.
- Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business operations and resolve technical issues.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and network security.
- Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
