Job Description
Title: Folder Gluer Operator Location: Peachtree City, GA Direct Hire Non-Negotiable Minimum of 3 years of Folder/Gluer operation, including set up, trouble shooting and adjusting the equipment within the food packaging industry. Capable of running straight line, auto-bottom, 4 and 6 corner cartons. Candidates must have experience with folding cartons within the food packaging industry Responsibilities Operate, adjust, and monitor folder/gluer machines to produce finished cartons according to customer specifications. Prepares gluer by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by precise control of feeding, take over and inverting of batches of blanks, setting automatic loading and constant blank heights maintaining steady and precise feeding at all speeds making adjustments as needed to exceed customer expectation. Operate and adjust gluer machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation. Inspect finished cartons to ensure they meet customer and company quality standards while Supporting and communicating all ISO standards and quality objectives to the Team. Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE and Clean policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment. Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, PPE and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines. Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy. Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation. Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of experience operating Folder/Gluer equipment in the food packaging industry. Must Have Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs. Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures. Physical Demands This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking. Frequent lifting in excess of 30 lbs is required. Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required. Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
