Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager- II Location: Remote Duration: 10 Months (Possible Extension) Description We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a long-term initiative focused on project coordination, process mapping and development, and documentation excellence. This contractor will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to lead projects, streamline workflows, and author high quality procedural and guidance documents that support operational consistency and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable translating complex processes into clear, actionable documentation. We’re looking for a capable, hands on contributor. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage project activities, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams. • Develop, write, and maintain procedures, standard operating documents, and internal guidance materials. • Facilitate project meetings, track risks and issues, and ensure transparent reporting. • Coordinate with SMEs to capture process requirements and translate them into clear documentation. • Assist with change management activities related to new or updated procedures. • Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational standards, compliance expectations, and audit readiness. • Monitor project progress and propose adjustments to keep initiatives on track. • Maintain detailed project plans, status updates, and documentation repositories. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of project management experience in a professional or corporate environment. • Demonstrated experience creating procedures, SOPs, work instructions, or operational guidance documents. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and subject matter experts. • Proficiency with common PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Planner, or equivalent). • Experience with regulated environments (e.g., pharma, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing) preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications • PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification. • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives. • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Teams). Summary The main function of a Non-IT Project Manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients. Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one?s time. Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. PMI or PMP certification preferred. 2-4 years experience required.
