Position Title: AI/ML Professional/Data scientist Duration: 12 months (Possible extension) Working Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid /2.5 days onsite/week. Contractor skillset: 2+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models 2+ years of experience in data manipulation on large datasets (ingestion, processing, merging and aggregation of data) Strong programming skills in Python and SAS/SQL Notes: Does not want candidates focused in GenAI. The focus is predictive quantitative modeling*** -Does not need banking exp, can come from any industry Looking for ML/data scientists to do end-to-end from requirement gathering with the business stakeholders (require good communication skills) – work with data engineer to do data ETL – Exploratory data analysis including feature engineering, data manipulation etc. (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy etc.) – building traditional Non-GenAI/LLM/NLP machine learning models, i.e. classification, regression, clustering etc. – model validation/testing – model documentation – work with MLOps for production. The programing language we use are SQL and Python. Having experience with pricing modeling is definitely an asset…. Conducts large-scale analysis of information to discover patterns and trends by combining different modules and algorithms. Uses analysis to provide recommendations and advice for business leaders to maintain to maintain market competitiveness. Develops prediction systems and machine learning algorithms. Investigates additional technologies and tools for developing innovative data solutions for business stakeholders. Collaborate together with the product team and partners to understand and provide data-driven decision making, business planning and future roadmap. Focus is primarily on business/group within client; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus. Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support. Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
