Job Title: Data Center Project Manager – Critical Projects Implementation IV Location: Chantilly/Manasses/Ashburn/Sterling, VA Duration: 24 months About the Role AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, building, and operating the global infrastructure that powers AWS data centers worldwide. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) Team manages construction and infrastructure upgrade projects within live, operational data centers. These projects focus on optimizing space, power, cooling, and overall performance of critical infrastructure systems. This role is ideal for a Project Manager with strong experience in mission-critical facilities who can oversee complex infrastructure upgrades while ensuring operational continuity. Key Responsibilities Manage construction and infrastructure improvement projects within operational data centers Oversee electrical, mechanical, controls, fire detection, and building automation systems Coordinate vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company strategy Identify areas for operational improvement using system data and performance metrics Drive execution while maintaining safety, reliability, and compliance standards Work both independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary environments Required Qualifications 5+ years of project management or construction management experience 5+ years managing projects in: Data centers OR Comparable critical infrastructure environments (24/7 operations), such as: Manufacturing facilities (semiconductor, automotive, medical equipment, clean rooms) Mass transportation (rail) Oil & Gas Utilities Hospitals 5+ years of on-site construction trades experience (electrical, mechanical, or general contracting) Vendor management experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field 5+ years of electrical, mechanical, or data center engineering experience Strong ability to manage technical trade-offs and stakeholder discussions Proven ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines Applicant Notices & Disclaimers For information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here At SPECTRAFORCE, we are committed to maintaining a workplace that ensures fair compensation and wage transparency in adherence with all applicable state and local laws.
