Job Description
Title: Developer II (SharePoint) Location: North Chicago, IL (Hybrid - T/W/TH Onsite) Duration: 5 months (possibility of extension based on performance and business needs) Top 3-5 skills required: 1. SharePoint Infrastructure Design and Architecture 2. Security and Permissions Management (including role-based access) 3. UI/UX Design (Wireframing, Page Templates, Navigation Structure) 4. Content and Metadata Management (Document Libraries, Content Transition, Ownership Guidelines) 5. Governance and Testing (Governance Model, Permissions Guide, Site Testing) Responsibilities: • Assess the current SharePoint site architecture and identify areas for improvement and upgrade. • Lead the end-to-end technical upgrade, including planning, testing, customization, and migration. • Work closely with BTS, business stakeholders, and end users to define requirements and ensure business continuity. • Troubleshoot and resolve upgrade-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption. • Develop and document processes for site management, backup, and recovery. • Assist with user training and create operational guides or launch documentation. • Oversee the operational launch of the upgraded site, ensuring accessibility, functionality, and a seamless user experience. • Monitor post-launch performance and address any feedback or technical challenges. Requirements: • Proven experience with SharePoint upgrades and migrations (SharePoint Online and/or On-Premise). • Strong technical background in SharePoint architecture, configuration, and customization. • Excellent project management and communication skills. • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. • Experience with user training and operational support preferred.
