Role Overview

The QA Lead is responsible for leading the quality assurance team and ensuring that software products meet required quality standards. This role involves planning testing activities, mentoring team members, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and owning the overall QA process.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall QA strategy and test approach
• Lead and mentor QA team members
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Plan and monitor test execution (functional, regression, UAT)
• Ensure proper defect tracking, reporting, and resolution
• Coordinate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders
• Identify testing risks and ensure mitigation plans
• Provide test status reports and quality metrics
• Support release decisions and provide QA sign-off

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Expertise in Manual Testing concepts
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, qTest)
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience & Qualification

• 6–10 years of experience in Software Testing / QA
• Proven experience in leading QA teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
