Role Overview

A Product Tester is responsible for testing software products to ensure they meet user expectations, business requirements, and quality standards before release. The role focuses on end-to-end product quality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements and user flows
• Design and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Validate end-to-end product workflows
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear details
• Verify bug fixes and perform retesting
• Ensure product usability, stability, and performance
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers
• Support release testing and provide quality feedback

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing fundamentals
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and user-centric thinking

Experience & Qualification

• 2–6 years of experience in software testing
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
