Position Title : Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician Work Location : Oceanside, CA 92056 Assignment Duration : 12 months Work Arrangement : Onsite Position Summary : As an entry-level Manufacturing Technician, you will be part of a team that produces and delivers quality products for patients worldwide. You will work in both Upstream and Downstream departments within a 24/7 site, ensuring safety and compliance with SOPs. Key Responsibilities : • Prepare medium for cell growth and maintain Cell Cultures in Upstream processes. • Set-up and break down stainless steel bioreactors. • Isolate, purify, and concentrate products in Downstream processes. • Prepare Buffers, clean and steam Chromatography skids, and support formulation. • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain operational integrity. Qualification & Experience : • Degree in Life Sciences or Engineering, or 1-year related experience, or Associate degree and 3 years of experience. • Biotech certificate from an approved program, or high school diploma with 5 years of experience. • 1–2 years of experience operating complex mechanical equipment (washing, autoclaving, and assembly) in Upstream or Downstream processes is highly desirable. • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, electronic, chemical, food, cosmetics, or other medical industries is preferred. • Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, communication). • Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime as needed. • Must be able to pass job-related certifications and testing, including cGMP compliance. • Lifting up to 25lbs may be required. Working Conditions & Physical Demands : • Work in a clean room environment requiring gowning (scrubs, bunny suits, gloves, steel-toe boots). • No makeup or jewelry is allowed in the clean room. • No personal cell phones on the clean room floor. • Must be able to climb 6 flights of stairs daily. Additional Information : • Shift work required. The position offers various shift options, including 12 hr day shift, 10 hr day shift, 10 hr swing shift, and 12 hr night shift. Shift assignments will be based on individual strengths and business needs. • Onboarding includes 3-4 weeks of Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm, followed by 3-4 weeks of on-the-job training in alternate schedules.
