Job Summary:

The Sales Representative in the finance industry is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and promoting financial products and services such as loans, investment plans, insurance, or banking solutions. The role requires understanding client needs, providing tailored financial advice, and meeting sales targets while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Promote and sell financial products, including loans, credit, investment instruments, insurance, or banking services.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Provide personalized financial advice based on client needs and risk profiles.
  • Resolve client queries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and client demands.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling financial products.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to improve offerings.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and contracts.
  • Ensure all sales practices comply with industry regulations and company policies (e.g., KYC, AML, RBI/SEC guidelines).

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth onboarding of clients.
  • Report sales performance, market insights, and client feedback to management regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in sales within banking, financial services, insurance, or investment sectors preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • CRM software (Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented with strong sales and persuasion abilities.
  • Analytical thinking to understand client needs and market trends.
