The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing methods for extracting oil and gas from deposits below the earth’s surface, optimizing production, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.**Key Responsibilities:**- Design and implement methods for extracting oil and gas from underground reservoirs.- Analyze geological and engineering data to determine optimal drilling and extraction techniques.- Monitor and evaluate production rates, and recommend improvements for enhanced recovery.- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling teams, and other engineers to develop efficient field development plans.- Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project proposals.- Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support to field teams.**Qualifications:**- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).- Proven experience in petroleum engineering, oil & gas extraction, or related roles.- Strong knowledge of drilling, production, and reservoir engineering principles.- Proficiency with industry-standard software and modeling tools.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.**Preferred Skills:**- Experience with offshore drilling operations.- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.- Advanced data analysis and reservoir simulation skills.**Benefits:**- Competitive compensation and benefits package.- Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.- Supportive, innovative, and inclusive work culture.- Access to cutting-edge technology and resources.**Location:** This position is based in New Orleans, Louisiana.Leoforce is an equal opportunity employer.
