‍ Special Education Teacher – Washington, DC

Location: Washington, DC
Salary: $68,000 annually (negotiable)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Contract: Full 2025–2026 School Year

We’re partnering with a dynamic school in the Washington, DC area to place a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals

  • Adapt curriculum materials and strategies to meet student needs

  • Support student growth through targeted academic and behavioral interventions

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences

  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, state, and district requirements


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (required)

  • Active or eligible Washington, DC teaching license (preferred)

  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting (preferred)

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills (preferred)

  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (preferred)
