Industry Health Solutions Athletic Trainers provide a broad scope of services including pre-employment exams, injury prevention, wellness programs, medical intervention, job demand analysis, occupational surveillance testing programs, safety consulting and case management. 

 

Job Overview

The positions available are in one of occupational medicine settings in Coldwater, Michigan. The athletic trainer will be primarily responsible for our client’s employee early intervention of injury and illnesses to reduce development into chronic work-related injuries. 

During the intervention process, you will observe the employee while they work to assess ergonomics, determine the root cause, administer first aid in accordance with OSHA standards when required, and provide a solution to the supervisor to prevent the issue from reappearing.

Additionally, you will spend time on the production floor identifying workstation and/or technique issues and correcting them with client management assistance. As part of our medical team, if a patient is referred beyond the early intervention process to a mid-level clinician, you will be present to assist the continuum of care including case management.

Industry Health Solutions is currently hiring two, second shift positions and one first shift position in this location. Overtime is available for Saturday coverage.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Athletic Training BOC Certification/License in good standing in Michigan
  • Healthcare and or Occupational Medicine experience
  • Clinical competency in orthopedic evaluation skills
  • Experience evaluating low-level injuries
  • Ability to triage musculoskeletal complaints/identify work environment dangers
  • Basic understanding of ergonomic principles to perform ergonomic screens
  • Experience evaluating and determining root-cause analysis
  • Comfortable advising medical teams on corrective measures
  • Able to conduct and supervise wellness and fitness training
  • Must be comfortable working in a meat packaging facility
  • 1-2 years experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply!
