Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join our team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining food safety, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, SQF).

- Document and report non-conformances, deviations, and corrective actions.

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and protocols.

- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality-related activities.

- Collaborate with production and operations teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.

- Participate in internal and external audits as required.

- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree or higher in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food industry preferred.

- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA, USDA).

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and quality testing procedures.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- HACCP certification or equivalent.

- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
