Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail or hospital pharmacy, a valid California pharmacist license, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) and those with Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification or clinical specialization are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and patient confidentiality.
- Stay current with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active California pharmacist license.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., McKesson, Cerner).
- MTM certification or clinical specialization (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- Leadership experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
