(LVHN) has responsibility for supporting the Occupational Health programs and activities. The LVHN assists the Occupational Health Supervisor, provides daily task for injury management, supports regulatory safety compliance, conducts compliance tracking, and maintains audit readiness. Job responsibilities/knowledge areas include, but are not limited to; Department of Transportation Examination Compliance, Controlled Substance Testing, Drug and Alcohol Program/Aftercare, Disability Management, Management of Work Related Injury/Illness Claims, American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Process/ Waiver Protocol, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Crisis Management, Hearing Conservation Program Compliance, Respiratory Medical Compliance, Health Education/Wellness Programs, and Medical Provider Management. These responsibilities will require the Licensed Vocational Health Nurse (LVHN) to travel to buildings as well as medical providers to provide training and education to both employees and vendors.
Injury Management: Performs daily tasks of managing of work related injuries for OSHA 0,1,2,3.
Gathers medical information to review with Occupational Health Supervisor for determination of TAW extension or Lost Time. Maintains documentation / journal notes in SHRMIS .
Compiles / provide reports as needed .
Communicates with employees, medical providers, third party administrators, and operations managers.
Wellness: Maintains accurate record of Wellness Champion training. Participate in wellness activities
Prevention: Ensures compliance of training goals by running queries, communicating exceptions, and resolving exceptions. Conducts training as necessary
Regulatory Compliance: Responds to training requests. Ensures compliance of training goals by running queries, communicating exceptions, and resolving exceptions.
Conducts Feeder Audits and follow up on exceptions . Liaison to HRSC for any exceptions, inquiry, etc
Job Requirements: Entry level Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) .
Preferred to have occupational health / case management / employee health experience.
