ROLES AND RESPONSIBILIES
CORE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Provide specialist-level technical support and high-quality testing service to the organization, driving and influencing continual improvement

1 ASSET OPTIMIZATION
Operational / Technical Execution
• Provide specialist-level metallurgical support to Process Operations as required.
• Plan and Implement solutions to eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency, productivity, and production.
• Develop and maintain metallurgical testing and modelling programs, ensuring that they are complete and up to date.
• Manage all metallurgical accounting and SOX compliance activities and issues.
• Reconcile ounces produced to long-range mine plan.
• Provide input to monthly cost reviews, cost modelling, and forensics.
• Review and provide input into monthly metal forecast using cost models.
• Provide input into the budgeting process through zero based cost models.
• Monitor and report back on adherence to forecast.
• Coordinate and reconcile Dore settlements.
• Compile and produce daily reports.
• Conduct month end reconciliation for Gold Bar Process, including Leach Pad
• Monitor and report back on crusher downtime
• Adherence to metal forecasts
• Accurate reconciliations produced to deadline.
• Accurate reports produced to deadline.
• Targeted CIC recovery rate achieved.
• Targeted crusher throughput rate achieved
2 HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
• Actively support Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene,1` and Environmental Management systems and regulatory compliance
• Adhere to safety-related best practices.
• Adhere to Industrial Hygiene and Environmental requirements and produce accurate documentation and reporting
CROSS FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Mine Engineering: reconciliation of ounces to mine plan.
• Geology: reconciliation of ounces to mine plan
• Finance: cost modelling and forecasts
• ADR / Refinery Supervisor: training, providing specialist advise and input.
DISCRETIONARY WORK (NON-CORE)
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks and raise health and safety awareness.
• Identify opportunities for improvement across the department.
• Performs all other assigned duties as requested by the Process Manager, commensurate with skills, knowledge, and appropriate level of work complexity

JOB AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• 3 to 8 years of experience in a mining technical role
• Proven ability to work with vendors and suppliers
STATUTORY/LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
• Valid driver's licence
• Must be able to use mine radios and all other communication devices
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Climbing ladders/stairs, long periods of standing, walking over uneven ground
• Works in ADR on a regular basis
• Works cooperatively with mine planning, mine geology, exploration and mine maintenance.
• Works in process areas in and outdoors up to 8800 feet
• Moderate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.
• Repetitive motion - bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.
• PPE required; must be cleared to wear a respirator to perform specific tasks.
• Exposure to noise and dust, prolonged exposure to weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dust)
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Technical skills appropriate to this position and area of work
• Proficiency in the use of engineering and/or metallurgical modelling software or principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of all company policy and procedures relating this area of work
• Complies with all Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Environmental standards and all other requirements relevant to the assigned areas of work.
