Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and processing of specimens, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The Phlebotomist will interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds, providing excellent customer service and adhering to all safety and quality standards.**Key Responsibilities:**- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients as required.- Accurately label, handle, and process blood specimens for laboratory analysis.- Verify patient identification and maintain accurate records of all specimens collected.- Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies.- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.- Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, addressing any concerns or questions.- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and efficient specimen collection.- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (CPT) is highly desirable.- Minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory setting preferred.- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques, specimen handling, and safety protocols.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.**Benefits:** Spectraforce offers ACA-compliant health benefits as well as dental, vision, accident, critical illness, voluntary life, and hospital indemnity insurances to eligible employees.
