Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and manage scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that support analytics and business intelligence functions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data platforms, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from multiple sources.
• Develop and optimize data architectures using relational and non-relational databases.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement data governance practices including data quality, lineage, and cataloging.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to manage data infrastructure and services.
• Automate data ingestion, validation, and transformation workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data systems for performance and reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, data models, and workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/Scala/Java.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS (Redshift, Glue, S3), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).
• Proficiency in building and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data structures, and ETL frameworks.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data projects.
• Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance.
• Familiarity with tools like dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, or Looker is a plus.
• Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP data engineering is desirable.
