Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Centre Technician to join our team in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the daily operations of our data center facilities. This is an onsite role requiring hands-on technical expertise and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other data center hardware.
• Monitor data center infrastructure for performance, security, and reliability.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment.
• Respond to hardware failures, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacements.
• Ensure proper cabling, labeling, and documentation of all equipment and network connections.
• Maintain compliance with safety and security protocols within the data center.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Assist with capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in a data center or IT infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, networking, and storage systems.
• Familiarity with data center best practices, including power, cooling, and cabling management.
• Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar) are a plus.
