Title: Automotive Fuel Economy / Emissions Certification Engineer – Vehicle Homologation & ComplianceLocation: Allen Park, MISenior Level 6+ years of experienceVendor Bill Rate $60/hrEngineering positions with lead responsibility for coordinating fuel economy and emissions certification activities. Responsibilities including:• Develop and maintain project work plans including status updates.• Coordinate with activities regarding prototype vehicle and part requirements and availability.• Support communication and confirmation of vehicle instrumentation requirements.• Coordinate with proving ground to execute vehicle mileage break-in.• Perform fuel economy testing:o Test request generationo Data analysiso Coordinating vehicle updates, reflashes and/or troubleshooting as required.o Cross-functional meeting support as requiredo Coordinate catalyst bench aging• Compile and submit test and supporting documentation to EPA as needed or required.• Support any EPA confirmatory testing.• Perform emission certification testing:• Coordinating vehicle updates, reflashes and/or troubleshooting as required.• Coordinate catalyst bench aging• Coordinating Witness Testing• Compile and submit running change and/or application documentation to EPA/CARB/Witnesses.• Support any EPA confirmatory testing.Requirements BS in Engineering or related field Fuel Economy homologation and compliance experience.
