Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data/IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex data and technology initiatives within our organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of data-centric and IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for data and IT projects, ensuring clear milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, developers, and IT professionals, to gather requirements and define project scope. Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies through proactive risk management strategies. Coordinate and lead project meetings, provide regular status updates, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ensure adherence to project methodologies, best practices, and established governance frameworks. Monitor project performance, track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions as needed. Manage project resources, including internal teams and external vendors or contractors. Foster a collaborative and productive project environment, facilitating effective teamwork and communication. Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies based on lessons learned and industry best practices. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred. 5+ years of experience in data and IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Strong understanding of data management practices, data governance frameworks, and data-related technologies (e.g., databases, data warehousing, data integration, and data visualization tools). Experience with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello). Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
