Position: QA Tester

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid/On-site/Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to join our growing technology team in New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications through manual and automated testing processes.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early, improve product quality, and deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify bugs using issue-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects efficiently.
• Validate APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and release discussions.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Support automation testing initiatives and improve QA processes.
• Ensure software meets business and technical requirements before release.
• Maintain detailed testing documentation and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Experience with manual testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
• Understanding of bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing SaaS or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus.

Salary Range

$70,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience and skill set)
