Title: Network Engineer IV Location: Arlington, VA (WAS17-COMerli) – 100% Onsite (5 days/week) Duration: 10 Months (Potential Extension Based on Performance & Business Need) About the Role Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer IV to support the deployment, scaling, and automation of one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. This role supports client Border Network scaling and decommissioning (Decom) activities to meet increasing customer demand. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to design scalable, simple solutions are critical. Key Responsibilities Deploy, scale, and automate large-scale client network infrastructure Support Border network scaling and decommissioning activities Troubleshoot complex network issues Collaborate onsite with network engineering teams Deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative network solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field OR relevant networking certifications Minimum 7+ years of industry experience Strong IP networking fundamentals Deep expertise with: Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF Router Platforms: Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx (including supervisory & line cards) Strong troubleshooting and network analysis skills Experience with the Following Technologies: DWDM T1/DS1, DS3 SONET (OC3, OC48) 802.2/3, 802.1d (VLANs/STP) IPv4 & IPv6 TCP (internals & flow control) HSRP / GLBP PIMv2, IGMP, LDP TACACS IPSEC & VPNs NetFlow DNS, HTTP Applicant Notices & Disclaimers For information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here At SPECTRAFORCE, we are committed to maintaining a workplace that ensures fair compensation and wage transparency in adherence with all applicable state and local laws.
