Job Summary:

The Software Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications, primarily focusing on systems within the pharmaceutical domain. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of software testing principles and a keen eye for detail.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute test cases and test scripts to verify software functionality against requirements.
  2. Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system.
  3. Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  4. Participate in the review of software requirements and design specifications.
  5. Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  6. Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  7. Maintain clear and concise documentation of test results and procedures.
  8. Adhere to industry best practices and regulatory standards relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 0-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  3. Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
  4. Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  8. Effective written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience or coursework related to the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  2. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GxP, FDA, or similar.
  3. Basic knowledge of SQL or other database query languages.
  4. Understanding of test automation concepts and tools.
