Job Title: Security Analyst

Job Summary:

The Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents across the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role involves implementing security measures, analyzing potential risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards to protect organizational data and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (firewalls, SIEM tools, IDS/IPS).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure networks, applications, and systems.
• Generate security reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated with latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Familiarity with security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus solutions.
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud security.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to security incidents.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with penetration testing tools (Nmap, Metasploit).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
