Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications for our growing engineering team. This role owns features end-to-end, from technical design through production deployment, and partners closely with product and QA to ship reliable software.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications.
• - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• - Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production and staging.
• - Collaborate closely with product managers and QA engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• - Write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• - Mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• - Strong experience with Java, Python, or similar backend technologies.
• - Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• - Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• - Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Experience Requirements: 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.

Pay Rate: $65-$85/hour

Shift: Day Shift

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Location: New York, NY

Interview Expectations: Candidates should expect a technical phone screen followed by a virtual onsite covering system design and coding.
