Job Description

Position Title: Production Planner II Work Location: Newark, Delaware 19702 Assignment Duration: 12 Months Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and automate Power BI dashboards to track production, inventory, and sales performance Analyze operational and sales data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities, leveraging automated data refreshes and reporting workflows Create and automate advanced Excel reports using Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and macros where applicable Support leadership with automated KPI reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality teams to streamline and automate data collection, reporting, and insight delivery, translating data into actionable outcomes Analyzes sales forecasts for assigned direct sales materials. Generates production schedules and raw material requirements. Releases production work orders to Manufacturing. Analyzes sales performance and establish Production and QC priorities. Maintains inventory to achieve assigned levels. Participates in the transfer of new products from research and development to Mfg. Ensures that internal departments are kept abreast of work order status, inventory levels and projects. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Maintains work center schedules to ensure proper jobs are scheduled and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary. Provide guidance and training to lower level Production Planners specifically on new techniques or process changes. Ensure distribution inventory requirements are planned and shipped to correct shipping locations. Qualification & Experience: Working knowledge of MRP2 and computerized inventory control system. Extensive knowledge of material master maintenance, BOM’s, routings and or recipes and work centers. Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and labor reporting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent CPIM certification desired.
