Job Title: Cardiologist

Job Summary

The Cardiologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases related to the heart and cardiovascular system. This role involves patient evaluation, interpretation of diagnostic tests, medical management, and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases (e.g., heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias)
• Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic tests:
• ECG/EKG
• Echocardiograms
• Stress tests
• Holter monitoring
• Develop and manage treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient response
• Provide preventive cardiology care and lifestyle guidance
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Respond to cardiac emergencies when required

Qualifications & Education

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency
• Completion of Cardiology fellowship
• Valid medical license
• Board certification (or board-eligible) in Cardiology
