About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Associate Tech Lead to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on development expertise with leadership capabilities to guide a small team of engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
You will work closely with product managers, designers, QA teams, and senior engineering leaders to build scalable and reliable applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions.
- Drive Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and security.
- Assist in effort estimation, sprint planning, and technical documentation.
- Support deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in:
- Java / Spring Boot OR
- Node.js OR
- Python / Django / FastAPI
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of databases:
- SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)
- Experience with cloud platforms:
- AWS / Azure / GCP
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of system design principles and scalable architectures.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
Leadership Skills
- Team mentoring and task delegation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and manage priorities.
- Ownership mindset and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to DevOps practices.
- Certification in cloud technologies is a plus.
- Experience handling production systems and incident management.
Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Kafka/RabbitMQ.
- Frontend exposure (React/Angular).
- Performance optimization and observability tools.
