About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Associate Tech Lead to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on development expertise with leadership capabilities to guide a small team of engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, QA teams, and senior engineering leaders to build scalable and reliable applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
  • Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Drive Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, and security.
  • Assist in effort estimation, sprint planning, and technical documentation.
  • Support deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Java / Spring Boot OR
    • Node.js OR
    • Python / Django / FastAPI
  • Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of databases:
    • SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
    • NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis)
  • Experience with cloud platforms:
    • AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of system design principles and scalable architectures.
  • Experience with Git and version control workflows.

Leadership Skills

  • Team mentoring and task delegation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and manage priorities.
  • Ownership mindset and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices.
  • Certification in cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Experience handling production systems and incident management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Kafka/RabbitMQ.
  • Frontend exposure (React/Angular).
  • Performance optimization and observability tools.
