Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Software Test Engineer to join our onsite team in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
• Identify, record, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to the development team.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a passion for quality.

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
