Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour, plus a $4.00 night shift differential
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, including alternating weekends
Experience Required: 2+ years of ICU nursing
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Monitor haemodynamics, ventilator settings and titrated drips, escalating changes to the intensivist.
- Administer medications and blood products, and document care in the electronic health record.
- Participate in rapid response and code blue teams.
- Educate patients and families on the plan of care and discharge planning.
- Precept new graduate nurses and contribute to unit quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas, or a compact licence eligible for Texas practice.
- 2+ years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN considered with equivalent ICU experience.
- Able to work night shift, including alternating weekends.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
